History
The beginnings of the company Stilles reach back to the year 1945, when a small group of carpenters united. In the beginning they renovated only old furniture, later they manufactured also furniture by order, which developed later into a production for the market. But all the time they were aimed at making period furniture. They developed knowledge in handicrafts, as are carving, inlaying, decorating and restoration. These demand not only certain knowledge, but also a strong tradition and long working experiences.
In the year 1970 the company was named Stilles, period furniture and interior design. At this time the demand for period furniture had strongly increased, so we decided on a modernization and renovation of the production. The beauty and the masterly finishing of Stilles products testify in the whole world for their top quality and for the hundreds of hours of effort and willingness to make sacrifices that were used in making them. The biggest treasure Stilles has are its masters in carpentry, decorating, carving and inlaying, masters that integrate beauty, spirit and tradition of the past centuries with up-to-date procedures of wood processing. A treasure, the company will nurse and develop also in the future.
